Rhodric C. Hackman

Mr. Hackman’s career has been dedicated to capital formation, M&A activities and corporate development in an advisory role, as a member of Boards of Directors and as an entrepreneur. Mr. Hackman’s career in finance began with Kidder Peabody in 1981 where he spent several years in corporate finance serving energy, utility and high tech companies. In 1984, Mr. Hackman became a founding member and co-head of the telecommunications group.
In 1990, he formed Hackman, Baring & Co., where he continued a successful corporate finance advisory business for communications and media companies. In 1997 he sold Hackman, Baring & Co. to PriceWaterhouseCoopers Securities. For two years subsequent to the acquisition, he co-headed and successfully operated a new Communications and Media Investment Banking Group within PwC until forming Mercator Capital in 1999.
Prior to his career in corporate finance, Mr. Hackman was the Director of Business Development for a subsidiary of Bendix Corporation and a consultant for Impell Corporation, a nuclear engineering and financial services consulting firm. Mr. Hackman also served as an officer in the US Navy supervising and operating shipboard nuclear reactors.
Mr. Hackman currently serves on a public company Board and two private company Boards and holds a U.S Government Security Clearance.
Mr. Hackman holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and a BS degree from the United States Naval Academy where he majored in Applied Mathematics. Additionally, Mr. Hackman graduated from the United States Navy’s post-graduate nuclear power program.
